Giới thiệu

Giáo sư Stephen Leisz có bằng Tiến sĩ về địa lý từ Đại học Copenhagen ở Đan Mạch, bằng Thạc sĩ khoa học từ trường Đại học Wisconsin – Madison (Mỹ), và bằng Cử nhân từ Đại Học Georgetown (Washington, D.C., USA). Trước khi được bổ nhiệm tại VinUniversity, ông là Giáo sư, Giám đốc Phòng thí nghiệm Thay đổi Đất đai và Cảm biến từ xa, và đồng giám đốc Trung tâm Khảo cổ học và Khảo sát từ xa tại Đại học bang Colorado. Ông là một thành viên của nhóm khoa học của Chương trình Thay đổi Sử dụng Đất của NASA và là đồng giám đốc của tổ chức phi chính phủ Earth Archive. Ông được biết đến với công việc nghiên cứu về việc sử dụng đất và thay đổi vùng đất và những động cơ của những thay đổi này ở Đông Nam Á.
