Turn Pressure into Motivation to Become a Competent Doctor
“I learned a lot from my peers when I lived in a talented student community at VinUni. My hard-earned lesson was to turn pressure into motivation so that I could become a competent doctor in the future”, shared Tran Nu Hoang Ngoc – a student at the College of Health Sciences.
Ngoc did not only excel in her academic study and research but also actively participated in community service projects, one of which was the “Community Doctor” project. Its primary objective was to support COVID-19 patients.
Reflecting on her past decision to apply to VinUni, Ngoc said that she was quite hesitant about whether she should choose a young, new environment like VinUni. However, after two years, Ngoc now confidently said: “I am grateful for my brave decision two years ago.”
According to Ngoc, her student experiences at VinUni were extremely impressive. “VinUni is a young school, so the curriculum is constantly updated to keep up with the fast-changing trends in the labor market”, Ngoc said, “And I am proud to be able to contribute to that improvement.” Specifically, students make their voices heard by filling out the survey twice every semester as the teaching faculty will adjust their teaching methods accordingly. To build a close, strong relationship with students, the faculty, including the Provost, Deans, and other instructors sometimes invite students for meals. Everybody just becomes close friends so naturally.
After two years of solid studying at VinUni, Ngoc developed into a more confident, knowledgeable, and caring individual. We wish her all the best in pursuing her dream of becoming a competent doctor!
