We are delighted to inform you that the Application for Integrated Degree Programs at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is NOW OPEN for full-time VinUni students.

 

The Global Exchange Office (GEO) is calling for applications for the Integrated Bachelor’s – Master’s Degree Program at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with the details as below. For those of you who have submitted your applications for the other calls earlier and have not been nominated/accepted the offer from other partner universities or who have not submitted any applications before, if you are interested in these programs, please do not hesitate to submit your application.

 

Eligibility

  • Currently be an active full-time student at VinUni.
  • Have completed at least 3 years of full-time study at VinUni prior to the Integrated degree program (i.e. currently be 3rd year student at the time of application).
  • Meet all admission or specific requirements of the host university, including GPA/CCPA, language proficiency test scores (if any), etc. (Please refer to this LINK for the minimum requirements set by the host university).
  • Have no major disciplinary action at the time of application submission.
  • Have an account of good financial standing at VinUni.
  • Have completed all required General Education courses at VinUni before the start date of the integrated program at the host university.

 

Application Procedure

  • Step 1: VinUni students do research about the intended integrated degree program and study the requirements of the program at APPLICATION INFORMATION.
  • Step 2: VinUni students submit their applications to the Global Exchange Application Portal by the application deadline.
  • Step 3: Applications will be evaluated by the VinUni Review Committee.
  • Step 4: Evaluation results will be announced to students for nomination acceptance.
  • Step 5: GEO sends the list of VinUni nominated students to UIUC.
  • Step 6: Nominated students submit their applications to UIUC following their application process.
  • Step 7: The UIUC reviews the nominations/applications, makes the final decision, and issues the Letter of Acceptance to the successful students following their review timelines.

(All applicants will be notified of their application results depending on the timelines set by UIUC.)

 

Important Notes: 

  • Please follow the attached application instructions when applying via the application portal (accessible when logging in using vinuni.edu.vn email account).
  • Students are required to discuss your study plan with VinUni faculty/advisor and/or the Program Director regarding the selection of the program.
  • When being nominated for the host university, students may have to submit additional documents as required by the host university.

 

Study Expenses

For the 1st phase of the Program during which students study at VinUni for their first 3 years of undergraduate degree, they will pay VinUni tuition, fees and required expenses to VinUni. For the 2nd phase of the Program during which students will study at a host university overseas, students will be responsible for paying the applicable host university’s tuition, fees and expenses to host university. Students will need to take care of the travel, visa, accommodation, insurance and personal living expenses and any administration and facility access fees required by the host university. If the students need to complete any remaining undergraduate credits online at VinUni during the 2nd phase, their tuition scholarship/financial aid support rate will be maintained and applied to these courses.

VinUni students should proactively reach out to external financial support to apply for the integrated degree programs as needed.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at VinUni
  • Completed a minimum of three years of full-time study at VinUni prior to applying for Integrated degree programs (i.e., currently in the 3rd year at the time of application)
  • Ensure that the remaining credits at VinUni are equivalent to or less than the number of double – counted credits set for each host university. Detailed information can be found in APPLICATION INFORMATION of each program.
  • Fulfill all admission or specific requirements of the host university, including GPA/CCPA, language proficiency test scores (if applicable), etc. (Please refer to this LINK for the minimum requirements set by each host university).
  • No major disciplinary actions pending at the time of application submission.
  • Have completed all required courses of the College of Arts and Sciences at VinUni before the start date of the integrated program at the partner university.
  • Maintain a good financial standing at VinUni.

  • Step 2: VinUni students submit their applications to the Global Exchange Application Portal by the application deadline.

  • Students can select up to five host universities or programs.
  • When being nominated for the partner universities, students may have to submit additional documents as required by different host universities.
  • If you accept to participate in this program: you are required to sign Terms and Conditions for Integrated Degree Program Student from VinUniversity in accordance with VinUni’s procedure.

Study Expenses

For the 1st phase of the Program during which students study at VinUni for their first 3/3.5 years of undergraduate degree, they will pay VinUni tuition, fees and required expenses to VinUni. For the 2nd phase of the Program during which students will study at a host university overseas, students will be responsible for paying the applicable host university’s tuition, fees and expenses to host university. Students will need to take care of the travel, visa, accommodation, insurance and personal living expenses and any administration and facility access fees required by the host universities. Scholarships/Financial Support

VinUni students with Vietnamese origin pursing an integrated degree program in which the field of the Master’s program is in one of the supported fields of the Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Program can apply for the Scholarship for the phase they study abroad at a partner university. In the application form for the integrated degree programs, VinUni students can indicate whether or not they would like to apply for the Vingroup Scholarship Program. The Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship is a scholarship that covers the expenses: tuition fees for the Master’s program, living expenses, insurance, visa costs, and other allowances. To be eligible, applicants will need to satisfy the minimum requirements set out by not only the Host university but also the Vingroup Scholarship Program. For more information about the minimum requirements and terms and conditions of the Vingroup Scholarship Program, please visit: https://scholarships.vinuni.edu.vn/.
