Nguyen Quang Truong is a rising junior studying Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Computer Science. His contributions and achievements in his freshman year successfully persuaded the School Committee to give him an upgraded full-ride scholarship. “This is the most rewarding recognition I have ever received. VinUni has a transparent and encouraging Honors and Rewards system to motivate students to strive for excellence.” – Truong proudly shared.

As an active and dynamic student, Truong also challenged himself with different projects and job opportunities. He had experience doing internships in the Product Strategy team at Vinfast and in the Entrepreneurship Lab at VinUni.
Truong recalled: “When I worked at Vinfast, I learned the creativity and pioneering mindset from my senior colleagues. When I worked at the Entrepreneurship Lab at VinUni, I learned the leadership style and start-up spirit from my peers, supervisors, and professors.”

Having said that, an internship is of great importance to enhance a student’s attitude, skill set, and career orientation in the future. VinUni has always strived to provide plentiful opportunities for students to seize internship and job opportunities. Specifically, students of the College of Engineering and Computer Science are connected with leading tech firms such as FPT Telecom, Viettel, VinAI, Vinfast, etc. to gain hands-on work experience.

Reflecting on his past decision to apply to VinUni, Truong said: “I can confidently affirm that it was the smartest decision I have ever made at the age of 17!”.
