“I Have No Regrets about Choosing VinUni!”

Duong Bao Tien, a student of the College of Business Management, had a game-changing decision as she decided to not pursue overseas study in the US but to join VinUniversity. She is now one of the most outstanding students with lots of achievements.

Reflecting on her student experience at VinUni, Tien shared: “I am most grateful for the guidance from the teaching faculty and the vibrance from talented peers around me.”

Tien said that there was little distance between the students and the faculty and that everybody was very close and nice to each other. “When I interned at the Provost Office, I not only had a chance to support the Provost with research work but also received meaningful study advice”, Tien recalled. One distinguished faculty member that made a huge impression on Tien was the Dean of the College of Business Management, Prof. Sunmee Choi. Students also called her Mama Choi because she took care of every student like her children.

When asked about a lesson learned in her study journey, Tien shared that she used to suffer from FOMO, the feeling of missing out on good things that others were experiencing. Tien tried to juggle lots of things and always ended up feeling burnt out. Therefore, she learned to define a clear goal for herself, break it into smaller steps, and work hard towards that goal. “Avoid the noises and just focus on yourself”, Tien advised.

Given those memorable experiences and lessons, Tien exclaimed: “I have no regrets in choosing VinUni!”
