Giới thiệu
Cô Pranee là một nhà nhân chủng học y tếtài năng, chuyên nghiên cứu về sức khỏe và phúc lợi của phụ nữ, trẻ em, người nhập cư, người tị nạn, người cao tuổi, các dân tộc thiểu số và người chuyển giới. Công trình của cô đặc biệt tập trung vào sức khỏe bà mẹ và trẻ sơ sinh, sức khỏe tình dục và sinh sản, hạnh phúc giới tính và tình dục, sức khỏe tinh thần, cũng như các bệnh mãn tính bị ảnh hưởng bởi biến đổi khí hậu. Những nghiên cứu gần đây của cô phân tích các vấn đề về giới tính và sức khỏe tình dục ở phụ nữ châu Á, phụ nữ tị nạn và nhập cư, thanh niên, và phụ nữ chuyển giới thuộc dân tộc thiểu số. Tại Việt Nam, cô đã nghiên cứu tác động của ô nhiễm không khí đối với sức khỏe bà mẹ và trẻ sơ sinh. Ngoài ra, các nghiên cứu của cô còn khám phá về sức khỏe và phúc lợi tổng thể của phụ nữ dân tộc thiểu số.
Là một nhà nghiên cứu hàng đầu trong lĩnh vực Khoa học Xã hội, cô Pranee đã xuất bản nhiều cuốn sách về phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính và các chủ đề liên quan đến xã hội và y tế. Một số tác phẩm của cô bao gồm Phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính, Phương pháp nghiên cứu về sức khỏe và thực hành dựa trên bằng chứng, Yếu tố xã hội quyết định sức khỏe và Sức khỏe cộng đồng. Những công trình nghiên cứu này được công nhận rộng rãi và sử dụng tại Úc cũng như trên toàn thế giới. Tính đến ngày 26 tháng 3 năm 2025, chỉ số h-index của cô là 55, chỉ số i10-index là 108 và tổng số trích dẫn là 27.955.
Trước khi gia nhập VinUni, cô Pranee từng là Giáo sư Y tế Công cộng, giảng dạy các môn như Phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính, Các yếu tố xã hội quyết định sức khỏe, Giới tính và sức khỏe, Đa dạng văn hóa trong chăm sóc sức khỏe, và Truyền thông y tế.
Tại VinUniversity, cô đã đóng góp cho các chương trình đào tạo y khoa và điều dưỡng, giảng dạy các môn như Truyền thông y tế, Tăng cường sức khỏe và phòng chống bệnh tật, Phương pháp nghiên cứu trong điều dưỡng, và Phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính trong chương trình y khoa. Cô cũng đã hướng dẫn nhiều sinh viên bậc cử nhân thuộc các chương trình Bác sỹ Y khoa và Cử nhân Điều dưỡng trong các dự án nghiên cứu, hỗ trợ định hướng nghề nghiệp. Ngoài ra, cô còn cố vấn cho các giảng viên trong việc nghiên cứu và xuất bản khoa học.
Hiện tại, cô Pranee là Giáo sư Khoa học Xã hội và Chủ tịch Hội đồng Nghiên cứu tại Viện Khoa học và Giáo dục Khai phóng, đồng thời là người dẫn đầu một nhánh living lab tại Trung tâm Trí tuệ Môi trường (CEI).
