Stephen Schiffer, PhD

Professor Schiffer has spent a career in academic medicine as a clinician, researcher, administrator, and teacher.  Following his residency and fellowship, he first joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania where his research focused on inborn errors of metabolism.  He later joined the faculty at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine where he received over $1 million in NIH grants.  The Georgetown medical students honored him with four Golden Apple Teaching Awards for his teaching excellence.
