Biography

Dr. Duy Anh Le holds a PhD in Development Studies from Gonville and Caius College, University of Cambridge (2020) after completing an MPhil in the same field in 2013 at St Edmunds college, University of Cambridge. He also holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University (2012). His career includes positions at VinUniversity, RMIT University, and Vietnam National University, University of Economics and Business, where he led the Public Policy Department. Dr. Le’s work blends teaching excellence with impactful research and consultancy on sustainable development, public policy, and economic reform. His broad experience spans national and international projects, demonstrating a commitment to advancing academic inquiry and societal progress.

Dr. Le’s research centers on:

• Development Economics & Public Policy: Exploring economic policies that drive sustainable development and institutional reform.

• Green Finance & Sustainability: Investigating innovative financial instruments and educational approaches to promote green practices.

• Social and Environmental Health: Examining the impact of public health interventions, sanitation, and environmental policies on community well‐being.

• Institutional and Policy Reforms: Analyzing how institutional reforms can improve efficiency in public service delivery and economic governance.

His research is reflected in numerous projects and publications funded by international agencies such as the World Bank, UNICEF, and the State Bank of Vietnam.

Dr. Le is passionate about delivering courses in economics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His teaching portfolio includes:

• Macroeconomics & Microeconomics: Providing foundational and advanced insights into economic theory and practice.

• Development Economics: Focusing on the dynamics of economic growth and policy in emerging markets.

• Economics of the Public Sector and Tourism: Analyzing government roles in economic development and the impact of public policies.

• Quantitative Methods: Teaching basic econometrics, forecasting, and quantitative analysis to develop robust analytical skills.

He has been actively involved in curriculum development and program management, ensuring that course content remains relevant and engaging for today’s dynamic economic landscape.
