Biography
Prof. Nhu Dinh Ngoc Anh (Andy NHU) is a distinguished 3-time Global First Prize winner, earning top honors from every one of the 3 major global teaching competitions: Cambridge, IELTS.org & British Council (2018), Oxford (2024), and most recently the Ron Chang Lee Award for Excellence in Classroom Technology by TESOL International Association (California – USA, 2025). He is also a US Department of State’s Fulbright YSEALI Fellow on Creative AI, EdTech researcher with an MA in TESOL (High Distinction) at Monash University Australia, under AAS – Australian Government Scholarship award. Prof. Andy has over 14 years of experience teaching IELTS, Academic English, Presentation, ESP, Leadership and Global Citizenship skills for tech and language students at leading institutions in Vietnam and Australia.
Prof. Andy’s career lies at the intersection of Media, Education and Technology. He is the Co-founder, Scriptwriter and Academic Advisor of 8IELTS VTV show (2015-), one of the most popular educational shows on Vietnam’s national television with 600,000 subscribers and 80,000,000 views on Youtube after 11 seasons.
A Libra that is obsessed with balance and symmetry, and a 3rd-generation lecturer at heart, Prof. Andy comes from a lineage of educators both from his mother’s side and his father’s side.
A 2-time TedX Speaker and a regular Keynote Speaker at national and international conventions, Andy is the First Prize winner of many EdTech and start-up contests and has become the Spotlight Featured Alum by Monash Education Australia and the Featured teacher in the printed Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training Magazine.
