Our Campus
The ground-breaking ceremony on 14 November 2018, marked the first step towards building the physical foundation for the VinUniversity campus, the home of Vietnam’s world-class VinUniversity. The campus is located in Vinhomes Ocean Park in the Gia Lam District, Hanoi, Vietnam, with a total area of 420 hectares. With only a 19% building density and with 117 hectares dedicated to trees and natural areas, the campus will be an ideal setting for self-directed and collaborative learning, peaceful introspection, and inspirational beauty.
The landscape, architecture, and interior at VinUniversity deliver the optimal learner-centered environment. Lecture halls and classrooms is designed to enable a highly flexible and adaptable active learning environment, suitable for lectures, interactive and collaborative learning models, and evidence-based methods, such as Team-Based Learning (TBL), Project-Based Learning (PBL), and Simulation-Based Learning (SBL).
LIBRARY
- The library is the heart of VinUniversity, one of the most important learning spaces for students.
- Functionality consultancy: Professors from Oxford University (UK) and Cornell University (USA). Design consultant: HBA (USA).
- The library has two levels with 4,000 sqm of floor area. It can host 1,000 students to study at the same time.
- The library’s architecture is inspired by the sunrise scene on the terraced fields of the Northern mountainous areas of Vietnam.
- VinUniversity’s library is an e-library which does not have many physical books but rather possesses abundant online databases. The library includes 2 Studio Labs, 1 Tech Lab, several group study rooms and co-studying spaces for students.
LECTURE HALL
- Functionality consultancy: Professors from Oxford University (UK), Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore (Singapore), Concept consultancy: AECOM (USA).
- The lecture hall comprises of two buildings with a total of 7,000 sqm in floor area.
- Lecture halls and classrooms are designed with flexible and interactive features applying advanced technologies for team-based learning (TBL), project-based learning, action-based learning (ABL), augmented-reality learning, and simulation practice methods.
- The highlight is the TBL lecture hall which has 200 seats, one of the largest and modern lecture halls in the region.
AUDITORIUM
- Total floor area: 2,100 square meters.
- With a capacity of 1,500 seats, the auditorium is the largest of its kind among universities in Vietnam and comparable with universities in the region.
- The auditorium has a state-of-the-art stage with 3 electronic screens capable of operating at the same time.
STADIUM
- The stadium of VinUniversity has more than 1,100 seats.
- It has a FIFA standard 9-a-side football pitch and is surrounded by athletic tracks.
- There are also an outdoor basketball court and a tennis court.
INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX
- The Sports Complex of VinUniversity offers our students the best of physical training facilities.
- Total area: 5,000 sqm.
- An Olympic-standard swimming pool 50m x 25m in size with 8 swimming lanes. The pool observation stand has nearly 400 seats.
- An indoor sports area with 1 gymnasium and 2 studios for yoga, flashmob, and aerobics training.
- A multifunctional sports hall with a flexible design suitable for indoor basketball, volleyball, and badminton. The multifunctional sports hall can be converted into a venue for seminars, team building, and community activities.
DORMITORY OF VINUNIVERSITY
- The dormitory layout is based on Singapore’s most advanced dormitory model, designed for co-learning, co-living, and co-working.
- The dormitory of VinUniversity is a 4 story building with 72 apartments and 376 beds.
- It has 1 canteen which can host 400 people at the same time.
- The dormitory has a medical room , break-out area, co-studying space, and a rooftop garden.
- The SuperLab’s design enables 6 different kinds of laboratory classes to simultaneously occur.
- VinUni is the first university in Vietnam to own a SuperLab and is one of the few institutions in the world to boast such facility.
- The anatomy pathology laboratory is equipped with top-notch medical technology, equivalent to leading international medical institutions.
- High-standard anatomy technology and equipment introduced by University of Pennsylvania, such as electronic anatomy tables and German authentications.
- Offer advanced educational health science values.
