THE OPPORTUNITY

The Center Coordinator will report to the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic direction of the Center for Environmental Intelligence. He/she will support the Directors, collaborate with the PIs, organize meetings, manage project documentation, coordinate research activities, provide administrative support, serve as a liaison, assist in event coordination, and contribute to CEI’s mission and goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for CEI’s operations, including procurement, logistics, and budget management.
  • Support to organize and facilitate meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation of meeting minutes.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to track project progress, including outcomes and financial status.
  • Manage general administrative tasks to support the Center’s operations, including contracts and procurement management, logistics, and payments.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the Center’s researchers and visiting scholars.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary documents and work with researchers and legal counsel to negotiate research contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor research contract milestones, deliverables, and financial aspects to ensure compliance.
  • Support the coordination of scientific events, such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.
  • Support to foster collaboration with external partners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to advance CEI’s mission and goals.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, environmental science, sustainability,).
  • Proven experience in project coordination or administrative support role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in academic setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Verbal communication skill in Vietnamese is a plus.
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary and collaborative academic team.
  • At least two years of successful experience in research, educational, and administrative positions
