The White Coat Ceremony at VinUni
On the afternoon of October 7, VinUni first-year students participated in the welcoming activities of the College of Health Sciences (CHS) after the Convocation Ceremony.
VinUnians Cohort 4 from CHS must have felt proud and honoured as the professors helped them wear the white coat. This coat bears both symbolism and a profound responsibility for people’s health, which is entrusted to medical professionals.
More remarkably, students whose parents are doctors and nurses were given the white coat by their parents. Putting this coat on means so much more than their family’s legacy. It delivers a message that our students will work alongside their parents to help save many people’s lives in the future.
During this ceremony, our students also recited the Geneva Declaration (the modern version of the Hippocratic Oath) in unison. This is their commitment to comply with ethical standards in medicine throughout their future, and it also acts as a reminder of their noble mission when they decided to pursue the medical field.
Let’s take a look at the breathtaking moments of the White Coat Ceremony with us!
