A Journey Filled with Joy and Valuable Knowledge: The ASEAN Summer Program Students at VinUni

August 2, 2024

The meaningful two-week journey of 64 international students participating in the ASEAN Summer Program concluded with a sense of nostalgia at the end of July. These 64 students, hailing from universities across ASEAN countries and the Southern Hemisphere (Australia – New Zealand), came to Vietnam to experience academic life as part of the ASEAN Summer Program, co-organized by NTU and VinUni with sponsorship from the Temasek Foundation.

During their two weeks in Vietnam, in addition to learning from formal classroom lectures, the students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic learning environment through various enriching activities such as:

  • Visiting cultural heritage sites such as: the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, Hạ Long Bay, and Bát Tràng Pottery Village.
  • Engaging in practical learning experiences at companies such as: Vinamilk, BK Holdings, SMC Vietnam, and Lumi Smart Home.

On their final day at VinUni, the students had the opportunity to present the valuable knowledge they had gathered during their time in Vietnam through a closing presentation. Despite coming from different countries, with diverse cultural experiences and language differences, the 64 students collaboratively put forth intelligent and innovative ideas. Their presentations showcased an understanding of both the cultural differences and similarities among ASEAN countries, marking the successful completion of their short yet memorable study time at VinUni.
