THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Technician for the Radiology department at the College of Health Sciences, who will perform a wide range of skilled technical duties for the program.
The incumbent will act as a technician between the office, students, and external constituencies on a range of day-to-day issues, and provide support to Program Director, Associate Program Director, Academic Assistant and other members of the program as needed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides technical support to an academic teaching department by working directly with faculty and department leadership to coordinate appointments and execute all technical aspects of meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences including logistic skills, network management, photograph & video taking and editions, sound setting, and speaker system management.
- Creates high-quality posts and manages the program’s online presence through social medial platforms (Facebook, Website, LinkedIn, …).
- Edits photographs and creates short videos for publication promoted on social media platforms.
- Manage the networking infrastructure and services, including LANS, Internet, …
- Support for the department academic programs, academic research plan and projects.
- Gathers, enters, and/or updates data to maintain department records and databases, establishes and maintains files and records, and analyzes data for the department.
- Liaise with the admissions, marketing and IT teams and department’s partners related to the department’s activities and technical tasks.
- Supports the department by performing all other duties as assigned by the department head.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree of Information Technology, Nurse, or Imaging Technology and at least 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in an academic or similar setting required.
- Excellent technical and logistic skills, with experience prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well experienced in editing photographs and videos and managing social media platforms.
- Have excellent experience of managing network infrastructure.
- Familiar with data analysis software (R, Stata, …), and data management software (REDCap, Epidata, …)
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
- Have clinical experiences and relevant certificates of radiology is a plus.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at VinUniversity. For this role, the candidate needs to have an excellent written and verbal communication skill in English. The minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 5.5 (or equivalent).
