THE OPPORTUNITY

HR Department at VinUniversity is looking for the entrepreneurial-minded Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist who is passionate about HR career in a fast-changing international higher education environment.

The Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist will report to the Director of Human Resources and will work as a specialist for all compensation and benefits related matters including performance management, payroll, reward, personal income tax, insurance, contract and employee relations…. You will work with HR Director to develop and implement compensation and benefits processes and policies whilst ensuring, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focused HR service to the University.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters such as visa/ work permit/ licenses.
  • Communicate and implement a range of HR initiatives relating to compensation & benefits, staffing, goal/performance management …etc.
  • Identify where new or updated C&B policies and processes are required and propose accordingly.
  • Build HR budget model and manage HR budget.
  • Implement compensation and benefits related tasks such as contract renewals, monthly payroll, salary reviews, employee resignations, handling daily employee queries related to their contracts/labor law.
  • Manage faculty and staff experience, handle employee relations issues, employee retention issues and propose solutions.
  • HR reporting and administration.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Graduate from a prestige university in HRM, Business or related field.
  • 05 years of HR experience or equivalent in a sophisticated diverse environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English.
  • Critical competencies needed: Cultural sensitivity, Communication, Critical thinking, Achievement oriented, Adaptability, Digital literacy, Discipline and Resilience.
  • Knowledge of labor code and work permit/visa for foreign employees is an advantage.
  • Experience of SAP system is an advantage.
