ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Research Assistant with expertise in AI and IoT systems to lead the development of a smart aquaculture platform. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing a functional prototype that integrates AI and IoT technology for monitoring water quality in aquaculture systems. The project aims to enhance environmental sustainability by reducing marine pollution and contributing to the green transformation of Nha Trang City.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • IoT Sensor Network Design: Develop and implement an IoT sensor network to monitor key water quality parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen) in aquaculture. Integrate sensors into a cloud platform for real-time data collection and analysis.
  • AI-Enabled Platform Development: Design a digital platform that uses AI to analyze sensor data, trigger alerts, and enable automated responses based on water quality thresholds.
  • Prototype Testing: Test and optimize the prototype in Nha Trang aquaculture environments, focusing on sensor calibration, data accuracy, and environmental resilience.
  • System Validation in Field: Conduct field visits to aquaculture sites in Nha Trang to validate system performance in different environmental conditions, including temperature and salinity variations.
  • Pollution Analysis: Use collected data to identify potential pollution sources affecting aquaculture.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in designing and developing IoT systems, especially for environmental monitoring applications.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks for data analytics and predictive modeling. Proficiency in cloud platforms for data integration and storage (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with sensor technologies and environmental data processing.
  • Experience in publishing academic papers in recognized conferences or journals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork and frequent travel to Nha Trang for system validation.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Please note that only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
