As part of the VinUni Career Day 2025, the roundtable discussion titled “Excellence to Lead” was successfully held, attracting the participation of over 50 representatives from leading domestic and international enterprises, government agencies, as well as VinUni faculty members, alumni, and students. The event created an open and multidimensional forum for sharing and connecting ideas, concerns, and aspirations regarding the next generation of talents.
Vibrant Atmosphere at the Industry – Academia Roundtable Discussion
The event welcomed senior leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology, UNICEF, EY, Schneider Electric, Mekong Capital, BNP Paribas, AlphaSights, ABB, LPBank, VietSuccess, Schaeffler, VinRobotics, Vinhomes, Pharmacity, and many other reputable organizations. Representing VinUni, Chairwoman Dr. Le Mai Lan, together with Provost, Vice Provosts, Deans, Program Directors, and faculty members, attended, affirming the university’s strong commitment to building a robust bridge between academia and practical industry demands.
President of the University Council, Dr. Le Mai Lan, delivered the opening speech, marking the beginning of the seminar.
The discussion focused on how to forge deeper connections between higher education and the real-world needs of the global labor market. Speakers shared insights on emerging trends in recruitment and talent development, including the shift in industries due to digital technology, the growing demand for innovation capacity, multicultural working skills, and the application of technology in daily operations.
Many profound insights were shared and discussed by representatives from organizations, businesses, and the school during the seminar session.
In addition to analyzing the broad opportunities available to the younger generation, delegates also emphasized the importance of innovating training methods, enhancing practical experience, and fostering strong collaboration between universities, businesses, and policymakers to better equip students for the international labor market.

Delegates also pointed out the major challenges in developing high-quality human resources, emphasizing that students today must not only excel in technical expertise but also possess rapid adaptability, global thinking, and a spirit of lifelong learning.
In the context of globalization and digital transformation, strengthening the linkage between universities, businesses, and policymaking bodies is seen as the key to unlocking the full potential of Vietnam’s young generation.

Overall, the roundtable discussion opened up promising opportunities for collaboration between VinUni and strategic partners both domestically and internationally. Many leading companies in finance, technology, manufacturing, consulting, and other fields expressed a strong desire for long-term collaboration with VinUni, not only to search for and nurture talent but also to jointly build a sustainable education and career ecosystem. This, in turn, opens “golden doors” for VinUni’s outstanding students, empowering them to confidently reach out to the world and affirm their position on the international stage.
