"UPenn professors didn't just come and teach VinUni students for a few sessions and then leave. In 2018, the decision was made to establish a university. Even when it was still a university only on paper, VinUni harbored lofty aspirations of becoming one of the top 50 young universities in the world. For many individuals at the time, this was a deeply idealistic and even audacious dream. However, Dr. Le Mai Lan (Chair of the University Council, Vice Chair of Vingroup) asserted, "We will stand on the shoulders of giants, collaborating with top-ranked universities worldwide. With the support of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, both of which are among the top 20 universities globally, we will establish VinUni."
After being honored with the VinFuture Prize at the Hanoi Opera House (Hanoi), on 21/12, these esteemed scientists came to VinUniversity to share their stories.
