Role Description

We are seeking a capable Software Engineer to lead the development and implementation of software systems for smart electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. This position requires expertise in device communication (charging stations), energy storage system integration, cost optimization, and grid stability.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • System Design & Architecture: Design the software architecture for the IoT platform that monitors and controls the smart EV charging stations.
  • Cloud & Edge Computing: Design cloud-based and edge computing solutions for data processing, storage, and analysis.
  • User Interface: Develop an intuitive UI for monitoring, reporting, and controlling the EV charging system.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining equipment: Using and maintaining laboratory instruments. Calibrating and troubleshooting equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed and organized laboratory records. Documenting procedures, protocols, and experimental results accurately.
  • Training and supervision: Training junior staff or new technicians. Supervising and guiding laboratory assistants or interns.

 Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with digital twin models is a plus.
