Recently, Nguyen Quynh Anh – a second-year Nursing student at VinUniversity participated in the 2nd Vinmec Nursing Scientific Conference with her scientific article on “Research on stress levels and factors affecting stress levels of frontline nursing workforce during the fight against COVID-19”.

The conference brought together Professors, Doctors, and PhD students from the Vinmec Healthcare System across the country as well as other major hospitals, such as Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, the 108 Military Central Hospital, etc., to discuss research on nursing, nursing training and surgical care.

Nguyen Quynh Anh – a second-year Nursing student at VinUniversity participated in the 2nd Vinmec Nursing Scientific Conference

In her research paper, Quynh Anh pointed out the factors affecting nurses’ stress levels, including: the lack of protective equipment and anxiety of spreading COVID-19 to people in their community. This shows that providing nurses with psychological support, adequate training on the risk of infection and its prevention methods, as well as protective equipment prior to their participation in the pandemic response are necessary.

The report demonstrated a multi-dimensional and in-depth understanding of nurses’ mental health as well as provided practical solutions to improve quality of life for nurses – the “fighters” who contributed greatly towards our fight against COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

“Through this opportunity to present my project and listen to other reports from Professors, Doctors,  and PhD students in Nursing, I was able to expand my knowledge on many other aspects of the Nursing profession. I was most impressed with the presentation on building a nursing competency framework at Vinmec by Ms. Alyysa Grissom – an Expert on Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.” – Quynh Anh commented on her experience at the conference.
