Recently, VinUniversity Medical Simulation Center cooperated with Vinmec International General Hospital and world-leading medical experts to organize 2 courses on Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology – MOCA.

The courses were led by Dr. Rebecca Minehart – Program Director of Anesthesia, Harvard Medical School, and Dr. Clément Buléon – Executive Director of University Simulation Center, Caen Normandie University, France.

The courses were built based on Harvard Medical School Simulation Center’s program and accredited by the American Board of Anesthesiology. This was part of the “Safety in Anesthesia” project, targeted towards all doctors and nurses in Vinmec Hospital System. The aim of the courses were to equip learners with appropriate diagnostic and intervention skills in emergency situations related to anesthesia; how to manage resources and work together in crisis; assessment and self-assessment after practice situations.

In line with the latest global trends in medical training, VinUniversity Simulation Center applied high-fidelity simulation training to create a learning environment that is similar to clinical practice, in turn helping doctors, nurses, and students of VinUniversity College of Health Sciences hone their skills and become more confident in their practice.
