90% Scholarship, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Dream To Pursue Aerospace Engineering
To pursue and contribute to Vietnam’s Aerospace revolution is a long-cherished dream of Pham Khac Viet Khoi – recipient of the 90% Scholarship for the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Talking about his passion for Aerospace, Khoi shared that ever since he was young, he had started “paying attention” to NASA’s videos and programs. Growing up and having the chance to research further into the field, Khoi began forming an interest and desire to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s aerospace industry.

On his journey to chase his dream, Khoi has been working non-stop to equip himself with knowledge and accumulate some note-worthy achievements, such as Bronze Medal in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics competition, Third Prize in the City-level Physics contest, SAT 1490, IELTS 8.0,…
Besides pursuing his Aerospace dream, Khoi has always wondered how to make the world a better place, where all social classes are equal and happy. Noting that a proportion of the working class is not appreciated and cared for, Khoi established the DIVERS project with an aim to honor these small but important people. Khoi shared that people tend to praise doctors, teachers,…but they forget that there are factory workers, security guards, janitors,…who are worthy of encouragement for their silent and diligent contribution to society. Full of love and compassion, Khoi continues to participate in the “One Million Lives” organization to help children from difficult backgrounds gain access to education, as well as other community projects.
Being a student of Mechanical Engineering, Khoi might be thought of as somewhat mechanical and dry, yet he is actually a person with an eye for art and impressive photography skill. Active and willing to learn, Khoi is not afraid to challenge himself with different roles at various clubs and organizations, such as human resources, logistics, external relations,…
We hope that by studying under Dr. Do Tho Truong – Assistant Professor of the College of Engineering and Computer Science with experience working for a NASA-funded project – along with other students who share an interest in Astrology and Aerospace, Khoi will be able to gain useful knowledge and have an exciting experience here at VinUniversity.
