Biography

Ms. Pham Thanh Hao is the Vice President of Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer at VinUniversity, where she has been a key driver in the university’s establishment and rapid growth. She joined VinUniversity when it was still a project at Times City and has played an instrumental role in shaping the institution’s foundation and growth. Overseeing Human Resources, Finance, Operations, IT, Legal, and Compliance, she has successfully recruited top-tier academic leaders, faculty, and staff. Additionally, Ms. Hao leads the Transformation Management Office, dedicated to realizing VinUniversity’s ambitious vision of becoming a world-class institution.

Since joining VinUniversity in 2018, Ms. Hao has been integral to developing the university’s high-performance culture. She transitioned from Chief Human Resources Officer to Vice President of Administration in 2024, where she significantly contributed to the university’s growth and academic excellence. Her leadership has been pivotal in creating an environment that attracts world-class talent and fosters continuous development.

Before joining VinUniversity, Ms. Hao held senior HR leadership roles at Nokia, Microsoft, and Vingroup Headquarters, focusing on talent development, performance management, and organizational transformation. She also worked as a strategic HR consultant with Hay Group and APMG, advising leading organizations in Vietnam.

Ms. Hao holds a Master of Commerce in Integrated Human Resource Management from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and is a certified practitioner by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Throughout her career, Hao has been awarded numerous prestigious scholarships, including the ADB – Asia Development Bank, Nuffic – Neso, and Vietnamese Government scholarships.

Currently, Ms. Hao is pursuing a Master of Education Leadership (OEL) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, further enhancing her expertise in academic leadership and institutional development.

A recognized leader, Ms. Hao has been named Leader of the Year at VinUniversity multiple times and remains deeply committed to cultivating an innovative, world-class academic environment.
