Welcome VinUniversity’s First Student Council President

  • 32 nominees from 3 colleges: College of Business and Management, College of Engineering and Computer Science, College of Health Sciences
  • 12 names made it into the group campaign round
  • 6 excellent students selected into the Student Council
  • 4 candidates ran for President

All just to find the First Student Council President of VinUniversity, who will represent the student community along with 5 other representatives. The 4 Presidential candidates are:

  • Nguyen Duy Anh Quan – Student of the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
  • Thai Thi Phuong Nga – Student of the College of Business and Management.
  • Nguyen Hoang Son – Student of the College of Health Sciences.
  • Le Minh Thi – Student of the College of Business and Management.

In one hour of intense campaigning, the 4 representatives shared their motivations, visions and solutions for problems faced by the student community. Their speeches clearly demonstrate the desire to contribute and build a united community, working together to develop, create and overcome – in line with VinUniversity’s EXCEL spirit.

After 24 hours of election, Nguyen Duy Anh Quan – Student of the College of Engineering and Computer Science came out on top and became VinUniversity’s First Student Council President.

Popular for his positive energy and casual, funny demeanor, Quan shared: “Through my previous experience participating in students’ activities at VinUniversity, I realized that our students have the ability and spirit to contribute to the community, they just don’t know how”. Quan stated that, as President, he will organize frequent dialogues with the entire student body to listen to their ideas and work with them to realize their proposals.

Besides the President, the Student Council is made up of 5 other individuals, each with his/her own role – Head of External Relations, Head of Events and Student Activities, Head of Health and Lifestyle, Head of Administration and the Secretariat.
