VinUniversity becomes the first and only Vietnamese university to join the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU)

On the morning of March 13, 2026, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) has made the official announcement to welcome VinUniversity as the first and only member from Vietnam. APRU is a prestigious network of 64 leading institutions across 20 economies committed to advancing research, innovation, and global collaboration. We are extremely proud to join this distinguished community, which contributes 12% of the world’s scholarly research output and brings together some of the world’s most renowned universities, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), Tsinghua University, Peking University (China), University of Sydney, University of Melbourne (Australia), universities in the UC system in the US such as the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), University of California, San Diego (UCSD), to name just a few.

Becoming part of APRU opens up significant opportunities for VinUni to further enhance its academic excellence and research impact through collaboration with top universities worldwide. It also allows VinUni students to access a wide range of international development opportunities. Programs such as open dialogues, the Undergraduate Leaders’ Program, summer programs, short-term student exchanges, the Global Sustainability Seminar, and student exchange programs will serve as important launchpads for VinUnians as they take their initial steps toward global impact.
