VinUni welcomes National University of Singapore to campus in the Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative Program
VinUni warmly welcomed 25 faculty, staff, and students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) to our campus for a 10-day program under the Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative (SFI) Program from 12 – 22 May 2024. NUS representatives have specifically chosen Vietnam and VinUni as their destination among Southeast Asian countries to explore the culture and potential opportunities, with a focus on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including sustainability, eco-tourism, and innovation. During this program, they have enjoyed a diverse array of enriching academic activities led by our dedicated VinUni faculty members, among other cultural activities and field trips.
“Instead of traditional lectures that only focus on passive listening, at VinUni, we always have the opportunity to interact directly with the professors,” shared a student before returning to NUS after an exchange program at VinUni.
In addition to lessons in classrooms, students have the chance to engage in extracurricular activities related to their course, such as visiting places like Ha Long Bay and Pu Luong when learning about sustainability and ecotourism, or visiting the Vietnam National Innovation Center when studying entrepreneurship and innovation. They also expressed their love for Vietnam’s diverse cuisine and their desire to return back Vietnam one day.
During the short 10-day exchange, NUS students had an exciting journey experiencing VinUni, Vietnam, and its people. Although it was just 10 days, the memories will last forever and serve as a wonderful beginning for them to continue exploring educational and development opportunities in Vietnam and at VinUni.
See you soon!
