Recently, Tran Tue Nhi, a first-year student in the Computer Science program and her teammates won the first prize in the KPMG Ideation Challenge contest. Overcoming more than 200 other teams from Vietnam and Campuchia, Nhi and her team made a strong impression on the judges through the project “Redesign the way modern procurement works”.

KPMG Ideation Challenge is a global innovative ideas contest organized by KPMG (top 4 leading auditing firms in the world), aimed at connecting STEM students with economics students to create pioneering, practical and useful ideas for clients. With the theme of using science and technology solutions to solve business problems for businesses in the current pandemic context, Tue Nhi and her teammates have developed an online bidding platform, connecting clients who are the manufacturer or contractors to shorten documents processing, help to digitize and streamline the bidding process. The outstanding feature of the project is the system using artificial intelligence (AI) to find the right supplier for the manufacturer.

After researching the international markets carefully, the team of Tue Nhi found that South America, Asia-Pacific and Europe will be the potential markets when the need to digitize the procurement process in bidding of those regions accounts for 95.6% of the world market. The enthusiasm of the team, the feasibility of the project demonstrated by the detailed market research and the specific business plan have completely convinced the judges.

In the coming time, Tue Nhi and her teammates will continue to develop more new features and improve the project to  represent Vietnam in the world competition.

Wish Tue Nhi and your team always to be confident and win for the next stage!
