Dr. Maurizio Trevisan as the Dean of Health Sciences
Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Maurizio has served as Provost, Vice-Chancellor, Dean, and Department Chairperson of prominent universities in the United States. He has had a distinguished career establishing medical and health sciences colleges at prestigious universities including the City University of New York (CUNY), State University of New York at Buffalo, and the University of Nevada system.
In addition, Dr. Trevisan has published over 300 influential research papers in such high‐impact journals as the “Journal of the American Medical Association,” “Annals of Internal Medicine” and “The New England Journal of Medicine.” He continues to have an active research portfolio, which focuses on the role of lifestyle and metabolic factors in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, with a special focus on the role of diet and alcohol use.
As a Dean, he enjoys meeting new colleagues, always thinking about potential interdisciplinary collaborations and projects that can be pursued in addressing pressing public health issues.
