President of The University of Pennsylvania visited VinUni to celebrate its 5th anniversary and 7 years of partnership

In just a few days, VinUniversity will officially celebrate its 5th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its journey to becoming a world-class university in Vietnam. Amid this joyful atmosphere, VinUni was honored to welcome Professor – Dr. – Physician J. Larry Jameson, President of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), who visited to celebrate the achievements of VinUni.

This special visit also commemorated 7 years of strategic partnership between VinUni and UPenn. Looking back, in the early days of the VinUni project, the team persistently sought collaboration with the world’s top universities. Despite facing skepticism and rejection, UPenn believed in VinUni’s vision and determination and formed a strategic partnership to develop curricula and training programs for physicians, medical residents, and nurses that meet the highest international standards.
As part of the visit, President Larry Jameson also delivered a public lecture titled “The Great Aim of All Learning: HOW EXCELLENT UNIVERSITIES ADVANCE SOCIETY” which attracted over 200 academic leaders, business executives, scholars, and students.

“The swift achievements of VinUni are a testament to the unwavering leadership, strategic vision, teamwork, and shared dedication of its leadership, faculty, and staff” President J. Larry Jameson emphasized. He expressed confidence that VinUni would continue to inspire and contribute to the sustainable development of education and society in Vietnam. President Jameson also reaffirmed Penn’s commitment to strengthening its international partnership with VinUni, anticipating even greater outcomes and impactful collaborations between the two universities.
