The Global Engagement Officer is an integral member of the Global Engagement Department of VinUniversity. The post holder will be tasked with executing activities related to the administration, budgeting and finance, and development of the different activities of the Department including the Vingroup Science and Technology Scholarship Program, fellowship/grant program for exchange students, as well as general academic engagement responsibilities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Global Engagement activities
- Liaise with external partners/stakeholders for the development of academic relationship of VinUniversity
- Organize meetings and in charge of the reception of delegation from partner institutions to VinUni
- Develop and maintain relationship with external engagement partner
Manage the operations of academic engagement and scholarship/grant programs
- Develop and manage the Department’s budgets, disburse the payment and keep track of the Department’s program expenses.
- Perform scholarship/fellowship disbursement and other finance-related duties.
- Communicate procedures clearly and make timely and complete announcements.
- Create and maintain updated documents and forms for, and records of, the programs, including summaries and evaluations as well as contact information of the stakeholders.
Implementation of the Dong Hanh Scholarship Program
- Contact the Vietnamese universities to implement the activities of the Dong Hanh Scholarship Program
- Connect and engage the grantees of this program with VinUni and its students
Administer Student Exchange Programs by coordinating the following main activities:
- Liaise closely and effectively with faculties, departments, and professional services across VinUniversity and partner institutions worldwide, as necessary, to support the organization and delivery of student mobility activities.
- Perform grants disbursement and other finance-related duties for exchange students.
Other duties as assigned by management.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
- At least 03 years working experience in program administration, executive assistance at an international development organization, non-profit agency, university, international education organization.
- Demonstrate experience in meeting organization, project planning, financial literacy, budget management, and task prioritization.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for contributing to develop a world-class education in Vietnam and have a strong commitment in managing a long-haul program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Highly developed communication skills including; well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, networking skills and coordination.
- Excellent computer literacy skills – MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good analytical skills and ability to manage budget and navigate accounting practices.
- Good time management skills, resilience, ability to multi-task effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Well-organized person and a team player.
- Ability to provide exemplary account management and responsiveness to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese.
