March 30, 2026

Building on the success of its first edition, the Graduate Study & Scholarship Info Day 2026 returned stronger, larger, and more dynamic than ever continuing to open meaningful pathways for VinUni students toward a global postgraduate journey.

This year’s event welcomed over 300 VinUni students and brought together 18 global partners, marking a significant expansion in both scale and diversity. From leading universities to prestigious scholarship programs and government agencies, a wide range of opportunities were brought directly to campus in one vibrant, highly interactive setting.

Opening Remarks: Inspiring Vision and Global Mindset

The event opened with welcoming remarks from Prof. Sunmee Choi – Vice Provost of External Engagement, who warmly greeted partner institutions and students. In her message, she emphasized the importance of embracing a global academic journey, encouraging VinUni students to be proactive, curious, and intentional in shaping their future. She highlighted that opportunities like this fair are not just about access to information, but about expanding perspectives, building connections, and daring to pursue ambitious goals on the global stage.

Following this, Ms. Hanh Bui – Director of Global Engagement shared insightful data on VinUni graduates pursuing postgraduate studies. Her presentation highlighted the growing number of students continuing to top institutions worldwide, with many successfully securing competitive scholarships for Master’s and PhD programs. The data reflected not only strong academic preparation but also the increasing global competitiveness of VinUni students.

Student Voices: From Opportunity to Achievement

A particularly inspiring moment came from Hoang Phuong Thao, a VinUni student who attended the fair last year and has since been awarded the prestigious New Zealand Government Manaaki Scholarship.

Reflecting on her journey, Thảo shared:

“Opportunities like this fair are incredibly valuable. I encourage VinUni students to actively engage, ask questions, and make the most of every chance to connect with universities and scholarship providers. The guidance from faculty and advisors here can truly make a difference in your application journey.”

Her story served as a powerful testament to how early exposure, active engagement, and institutional support can translate into real success.

Another standout success story is alumna Le Nu Uyen Phuong. After receiving the Vingroup Scholarship to pursue a 3+2 integrated program, Phuong successfully completed her Master’s degree and has now secured a full scholarship to continue her PhD starting this August. Drawing from her experience, Phuong encouraged students especially those aiming for a PhD to fully leverage VinUni’s research ecosystem, including the various projects and Research Assistant positions, to build a strong foundation for their future academic careers.

Exploring Opportunities: Booths and Parallel Info Sessions

Following the opening session, students moved into the main fair area, where they explored exhibition booths and participated in parallel information sessions.

At the booths, students had direct interactions with representatives from universities and scholarship organizations, receiving personalized advice on program selection, application strategies, and funding opportunities.

In parallel, a series of in-depth info sessions provided practical, up-to-date insights into specific scholarships, study destinations, and application processes helping students better understand requirements and prepare strategically for their postgraduate plans.

A Diverse Global Network

The event featured a wide range of internationally recognized scholarship programs and providers, including Fulbright, Erasmus Mundus, DAAD, Irish Aid, the French Embassy in Vietnam, Uni-Italia, the British Council, Australia Awards Scholarships, Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships, the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), MEXT (Japan), and Vingroup Scholarship, among others.
