Team-Based Learning (TBL)
Recognizing the importance of collaboration and teamwork in today’s professional landscape, we have embraced Team-Based Learning (TBL) in several courses. For instance, our Introduction to Data Visualization with Tableau, Physics, and Immunology courses are taught in TBL mode, allowing students to work together in teams, solve problems, and develop essential interpersonal skills.
Experiential Learning
At VinUniversity, we believe that real-world experiences are invaluable for learning. Our curriculum incorporates case-based teaching, internships, and field trips, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. In our health sciences programs, graduate medical doctor residents have the opportunity to work in hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Simulation Center
Our state-of-the-art Simulation Center is a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance the learning experience for our health sciences students. This center features a simulated hospital environment, complete with high-tech equipment, sensors, and debriefing rooms. Students can practice clinical scenarios in a safe and controlled environment, developing essential skills and gaining valuable experience before working with real patients.
Blended Learning
We have seamlessly integrated technology into our teaching methodologies through the use of our learning management system, Canvas. Students benefit from a blended learning approach, receiving digital feedback from professors, engaging in multimedia video feedback on assignments, and utilizing innovative integrated tools such as Panopto, Flip, FeedbackFruits, Cerego, and Perusall. Additionally, peer feedback outside of the classroom is encouraged, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Educational Technology
Embracing the latest advancements in educational technology, VinUniversity incorporates digital assessments, virtual reality using the latest Quest 3 headsets, and the ethical use of generative AI into our curriculum.
