VinUniversity signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (Kocham) to strengthen collaboration and enhance career opportunities for students.

On Sep 17 2025, VinUniversity welcomed delegations from Kocham to campus for the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant milestone in expanding collaboration and talent development.

 VinUniversity  and Kocham signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration  

The Kocham delegation included Mr. Ko Tae Yeon – Chairman, General Director of Heesung Electronics, Mr. Michael Han – Vice Chairman, also Chief Representative of SK Group Hanoi Office, Mr. Koh Jeong Man – Vice Chairman, also General Director of Hana Kovi Inc (Bac Ninh), Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan – Deputy General Manager.

Representing VinUniversity at the ceremony were Professor Sunmee Choi – Vice Provost of Academic Affairs,  Prof. Cha Sungdeok – College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), Prof. Jin Suk Park – MBA Program Director, College of Business Management  (CBM) & senior representatives from Careers, Alumni, Industry and Development and other departments.

This strategic agreement aims to provide VinUniversity students with unique industry exposure and learning opportunities, including:

  • Internships, jobs, mentorship, company visits, guest lectures, faculty–student projects, and scholarships (for both VinUniversity and Korean exchange students).
  • MBA opportunities: Potential to engage second generation Kocham business leaders through international admission.
  • Career Week participation and mentorship programs for students.

 VinUniversity and Kocham collaborate in developing future talents 

Kocham leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to support students’ professional development, including introducing VinUniversity to their member companies and exploring Korean language learning initiatives to better prepare students for career opportunities in Korean businesses.

This MOU represents VinUniversity’s first formal collaboration with a Chamber of Commerce and reinforces its mission of building meaningful industry partnerships that equip students with global exposure and long-term career opportunities.
