VinUniversity Global Case Competition – Launching an International Contest: Solve Real-Life Problems of Globally Reputable Business

Challenge yourself by participating in VinUniversity Global Case Competition (VGCC). This is an annual competition organized by VinUniversity with support from Cornell University, one of the world’s Top 20 universities, in order to provide a platform for students to learn about and work on real-life problems, and through this experience inspire youth to become pioneers that will create innovative solutions and advance future change. The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students from universities across the globe.

Technology develops at miraculous speeds, economic markets and consumer trends never stay the same, and plagues or natural disasters can happen at any unexpected moment,… Because of this, businesses have to be aware of current trends and always be ready to transform in order to effectively grow and adapt. The larger a business is, the more difficult its challenges tend to be.

To become leaders of the future with the ability to foster genuine change, students should work in real professional environments and participate in solving actual business issues right from their university years in order to hone their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This is also one of the core philosophies behind VinUniversity’s constant striving to ensure students have ample opportunities to get early exposure to the real world. As a result, every year VGCC will collaborate with a globally reputable company from various different industries to give students the chance to work on real business problems. Furthermore, the winning team will be able to participate in the implementation scheme of the partner company’s solution.

In 2021, for VGCC’s inaugural year, we are collaborating with VinFast to bring students a specific and current case-study. The establishment of VinFast highlights the ambition to build a Vietnamese automotive brand with global impact. VinFast’s car models have also garnered a lot of positive attention from international audiences right from the first launch. Recently, VinFast officially opened offices in the US, Canada, France, Germany, and the Netherlands in order to prepare for entry into the global market.
