VinUni welcomed MBA students from Nyenrode Business University to explore Vietnamese Business Landscape.

April 2, 2026

VinUniversity recently welcomed a delegation of students from the Global Immersion – Impact MBA program at  Nyenrode Business University (Netherlands). Focused on the management theory and regional economic practice, the program at VinUni offered international students a diverse range of high-impact activities.

Bridging Theory and Practice

During their time at VinUni, students engaged in a series of academic sessions led by VinUni faculty, exploring key themes such as Vietnam’s economic development, the Vingroup ecosystem, and the transformative role of technology across Southeast Asia. These sessions offered not only theoretical grounding but also critical perspectives on how emerging markets innovate and scale.

Industry Immersion and Corporate Insights

A core highlight of the program was direct exposure to Vietnam’s industrial ecosystem through site visits to leading corporations and key economic hubs. Students visited:

  • VinFast
  • VinaTech
  • DEEP C Industrial Zones
  • Damen Song Cam Shipyard

These experiences provided valuable insights into manufacturing excellence, international joint ventures, and the complexities of global supply chains in a fast-growing economy.

Dialogue on Diplomacy and Global Cooperation

Beyond academia and industry, students also participated in a meaningful exchange on diplomacy and international collaboration with Kees van Baar, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Vietnam, alongside industry experts. This dialogue deepened their understanding of bilateral relations and the role of diplomacy in shaping global business environments.

A Transformative Learning Experience

While globalization is often discussed in abstract terms, this immersive experience allowed students to witness firsthand the pace, ambition, and transformation shaping Vietnam today.

At VinUniversity, learning extends beyond the classroom. Through this program, Nyenrode MBA students were able to challenge assumptions, gain new perspectives, and experience a shift in how they understand growth, innovation, and cultural dynamics in emerging markets.
