VinUni-Illinois Smart Health Center (VishC) is a joint center between VinUniversity (vinuni.edu.vn) and the College of Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (grainger.illinois.edu) to conduct research on novel sensing and informatics to provide widely accessible health monitoring, screening, and diagnostics for people all over the world. We are looking for 10 motivated Research Assistants (RAs) to work on research projects in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artiﬁcial Intelligence, Biomedical Sensing, Internet of Things, Security, Privacy, and their applications in smart health. This RA position is responsible for developing innovative solutions for large-scale, high-impact, real-world problems in modern healthcare. This RA position also aims to prepare candidates to apply for joint PhD training programs between VinUni and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC, ranked in top 5 in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering in the United States), with full scholarships (scholarships.vinuni.edu.vn). The ﬁnal PhD degree is granted by either VinUni or UIUC, with 2 years of studying and researching at the other university.
Selected candidates will work under the guidance of Faculty and Research Fellows at VishC. These supervisors will provide detailed description of work and support throughout the project. You will:
