Biography
Dr. Tran Thi Thuc Trang received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Hanoi Medical University – in 2021. She subsequently pursued a Pediatrics Residency at VinUniversity – College of Health Sciences (2021–2025), gaining extensive clinical experience in both national and private healthcare settings, including the National Children’s Hospital and Vinmec Times City Hospital in Hanoi.
During her residency, Dr. Trang worked closely with the Pediatrics Center at Vinmec Times City Hospital and contributed to a publication in PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases titled “Molecular subtypes of Adenovirus-associated acute respiratory infection outbreak in children in Northern Vietnam and risk factors of more severe cases.” Her residency thesis focused on investigating the correlation between serum lactate dehydrogenase levels and disease severity in children with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
Dr. Trang has actively engaged in international academic and professional development programs. She participated in the OMI Vietnam – University of Pennsylvania courses in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (2023)—where she received both the Excellent Case Presentation and Academic Excellence awards—and in General Pediatrics (2024). Additionally, she attended the OMI General Pediatrics program in Salzburg, Austria, joining fellows from around the world. In 2025, Dr. Trang completed an observership program at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Pediatrics Emergency Medicine and General Pediatrics.
