Biography
Dr. Tran Ngo Gia Huy received his M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (2015–2021) and completed his residency and Specialist Level I training in Internal Medicine at VinUniversity (2021–2025). He currently serves as Clinical Lecturer cum Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, College of Health Sciences, starting from October 2025.
During his medical training, Dr. Huy gained extensive clinical experience through rotations at major hospitals, including Cho Ray Hospital, Gia Dinh Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, and 108 Military Central Hospital. He also completed a two-week observership at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
His research focuses on internal medicine, gastroenterology, and hepatology. He contributed to a study titled “In-hospital mortality and associated factors among elderly patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to peptic ulcer disease” (Vietnam Medical Journal, 2025). His residency thesis was titled “Evaluation of MAP(ASH) Scoring System to Predict Outcomes for Variceal Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding at 108 Military Central Hospital.” He also co-authored a case report presented at the 27th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR 2023).
