Biography
Dr. Phung Chi Kien is a lecturer in political science at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (VNU-USSH). He affiliated with Seoul National University (SNU) as a visiting researcher from September 2024 to May 2025. He has been serving in the VNU Strong Research Group on Vietnamese Politics, Rule of Law and Religion as the scientific secretary since 2016. He has over 10 years of experience in joining State and Ministerial research projects (KX.04.34/21-25, KHCN-TB.15X/13-18, KHXH-LSVN.25/14-18, QG.20.30, 276/HĐKH-KHXH, QG.17.55, etc.) as the core member. His studies mainly focus on the impacts of international relations (power competition) on national domestic politics and foreign policy based on comparative and interdisciplinary approaches.
