Biography
Dr. Pham Thu Ha has over 26 years of experience in the fields of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Metabolic Disorders, and Diabetes. Dr. Pham Thu Ha graduated with honors and obtained a Master’s degree in Medicine from Pleven University in Pleven, Bulgaria. She has worked for over 25 years at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi, in the Endocrinology and Diabetes Department, while also serving as a lecturer at the Department of General Internal Medicine at Hanoi Medical University. Dr. Ha has contributed to the development of formal training curricula, including writing textbooks for the Medical Multidisciplinary Program as well as several textbooks on Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Thyroid Disorders, published by Bach Mai Hospital. She has also participated in foundational research projects at Bach Mai Hospital and in collaborative research between Bach Mai Hospital and Mayo Clinic. In 2014, Dr. Ha presented a poster on Diabetes at the American Endocrine Society conference in Chicago. Dr. Pham Thu Ha is a member of the Vietnam Endocrine and Diabetes Association and the American Thyroid Association. Currently, Dr. Pham Thu Ha serves as an Endocrinologist at the General Internal Medicine Department at Vinmec Times City International General Hospital.
- Research Topic: *Family History in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Treated at the Endocrinology and Diabetes Department, Bach Mai Hospital.* Published in the *Journal of Medical Research of the Ministry of Health – Hanoi Medical University*, Volume 70, Issue 5 – November 2010.
- Completed Research Topic: *Clinical, Subclinical, and Histopathological Features of Incidental Adrenal Adenomas.*
- Participated in a Ministry-level research project: *Study on Clinical and Subclinical Characteristics of Adult-Onset Diabetes Patients Prone to Diabetic Ketoacidosis,* in collaboration between Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam, and Mayo Clinic, USA. The study was presented as a poster at the 2014 International Endocrinology Conference (ICE) in Chicago, USA.
- 1987 – 1993: Graduated with honors and received a Master’s degree in General Medicine from Pleven University, Bulgaria.
- 1994 – 1996: Graduated from the Distance Learning Program in Foreign Language Pedagogy, specializing in English.
- 2001 – 2002: Completed an Internship at the University Hospital CHU Cavale Blanche Brest, France, specializing in Internal Medicine, and obtained the AFS certification (Attestation de Formation de Spécialité).
- 2006: Completed advanced training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Endocrinology Department of Cochin Hospital, under Professor Xavier Begtagna, Paris, France, affiliated with Paris Descartes University
