Biography
Dr. Nguyen Van Viet Thang earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Wyoming in 2014, before continuing his medical journey with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tan Tao University. In 2024, he officially completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at VinUniversity. During his studies, Dr. Viet Thang also served as a tutor for groups of students requiring special support, an experience that not only enhanced his knowledge but also refined his teaching and communication skills.
Throughout his residency training, Dr. Viet Thang was honored to be selected as the Representative for the Internal Medicine Residency team at the Postgraduate Medical Education Committee and served as the Chair of the House Staff Council. In 2023, he was awarded the EXCEL Leadership Award by VinUni for his outstanding contributions. Driven by a passion for Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, his thesis focused on the prognosis of patients with sepsis. Moving forward, Dr. Thaang is privileged to continue his career as a Clinical Lecturer for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at VinUniversity.
