Le Van Lich, PhD
College of Engineering and Computer Science
Associate Professor - Mechanical Engineering
Biography
Dr. Le Van Lich received his B.E. degree in Mechatronics Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2016, and subsequently served as a postdoctoral research associate there from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, he joined Hanoi University of Science and Technology as a researcher and lecturer. His research interests include phase-field modeling, molecular dynamics simulations, and finite element analysis, with a particular focus on multiphysics coupling phenomena in ferroelectric and magnetic materials, as well as fracture mechanics.
Dr. Lich received the Golden Globe Award for Science and Technology (2019), organized by the Youth Union and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the First Prize in the Science and Technology Awards for Young Lecturers (2021), organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. He has authored or co-authored approximately 80 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has served as a reviewer for numerous top-tier international journals in mechanics, physics, and materials science and engineering.
