Biography

Jon Nichols completed his MATESOL with a focus on Academic Writing and Educational Technology from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and an undergraduate degree in criminology from the University of La Verne. Both institutions are in California, USA. He recently finished his two year Fellowship with the U.S. Department of State in Vietnam. His focus of research lies in the field of Large Language Models and their adaptation to pedagogy and student learning and whether using AI tools leads to better outcomes in learning models. Mr. Nichols has presented in international conferences in a variety of countries like the US, Qatar, Italy, UAE, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
