Biography

Hai Le is an adjunct faculty member at the College of Arts & Sciences, VinUniversity, a project consultant at the Asian Development Bank, and a lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Vietnam Campus. Prior to these roles, he was a Research Associate at the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) for two years and previously served as a lecturer at the Banking Academy in Hanoi, Vietnam. Dr. Le earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Economics, supported by the prestigious Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship, where he also worked as a teaching and research assistant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from the Banking Academy of Vietnam. He has published in several high-impact international journals indexed in ISI/Scopus, including the Journal of Economic Studies, Finance Research Letters, Journal of Cleaner Production, Applied Energy, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Review of Economics of the Household, and Applied Economics.

His research interests include monetary economics, empirical macroeconomics, Bayesian econometrics, and applied economics, with a particular focus on emerging economies. He is also passionate about energy and environmental economics.

His teaching interests cover Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Applied Time Series Econometrics, and Monetary Economics.
