Biography
Dr. Dao earned her Ph.D. in Marketing and Management from the University of Otago in 2023 and an MBA from Vietnam National University in 2011. Her background combines academic rigor with extensive industry experience in marketing and business management. She has conducted research and teaching activities at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
Her doctoral research focused on the management of B2B relationships in International Joint Ventures (IJVs), examining how firms navigate cultural differences, diverse management processes, and leadership styles in foreign markets.
Prior to her Ph.D., she held representative and senior consulting roles with multinational organizations across the Asia-Pacific and Europe, including KPMG, Business Sweden, and Tick Tock Consulting. She also worked as a project-based consultant for European embassies and the World Bank, advising on market entry, marketing strategies, and business transformation services. Her portfolio includes consulting for prominent international firms such as Volvo, ABB, and Sandvik, as well as large Vietnamese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) such as Vinaconex, Vinashin, and Geleximco.
