Banh Que Chi

Ms. Banh Que Chi graduated with a Master of Social Sciences in Economics at Uppsala University, Sweden in 2023. Previously in 2018, she had obtained Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Foreign Trade University (FTU), Vietnam with two Semester Excellence Scholarships for top 5% students. Besides, she was also ranked the 1st for the Pre-PhD courses in Economics, organized by the Center for Advanced Studies in Economics and Data Science (CASED), Vietnam in 2021.

Que Chi has worked across various sectors in Vietnam, ranging from academia and NGOs to banking. She was the lead of Economic Review team and supported the academic work, e.g. editing economic papers, and organizing conferences and seminars, at the Institute of Economics and International Trade (iEIT) at FTU during 2015-2016. She joined many research projects with international organization such as UNDP, GCF, Oxfam, ILO, and Save the Children, while working as a researcher and a research assistant at Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN) during 2017-2019. She was also a business analyst at the Military Bank (MBBank), Vietnam during 2020-2021, where she managed a treasury core system and provided IT solutions to the issuance of new financial products, risk management, trading, and account balance counter-check.

As a TA of CBM, Que Chi aspires to contribute to the rigorous teaching of advanced knowledge and its practical applications by utilizing her diversified background. Her teaching motto is “teach people so that they can teach themselves”.
