Biography

Dr. Anant Mishra is the Director of Research and Professor of Supply Chain and Operations at VinUniversity’s College of Business & Management. His research explores contemporary issues in innovation, public health supply chains, public sector operations, and emerging markets. His work has been published in premier journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, Information Systems Research, and the Journal of Operations Management.

Dr. Mishra most recently served as the Department Editor for Innovation and Project Management at the Journal of Operations Management, and continues to serve as the Senior Editor at Production and Operations Management, and Department Editor for the Product and Process Innovation department at the Decision Sciences Journal. He has received numerous awards for both research and teaching, including the POMS College of Healthcare Operations Management Best Paper Award (2024), the Wickham Skinner Best Paper Award (POM Journal, 2016), multiple teaching excellence awards at Minnesota and George Mason, and recognition as one of the most prolific operations management researchers in FT-50 journals during the period, 2008 to 2022.

Beyond academia, Dr. Mishra has consulted with and advised a number of organizations such as Best Buy, Bühler, Café Imports, Emerson Electric, General Mills, Heraeus, Len Busch Roses, Lutron Electronics, Medtronic, Polaris, Seeonic, Stratasys, Tokyo Electron, and Winnebago Industries on a range of supply chain and business analytics problems.
