Biography
Prof. Kot is an Affiliate Faculty at the College of Engineering and Computer Science at VinUniversity. He is an Emeritus Professor at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU). He is also a Chief Scientist of College of Engineering at SMBU Shenzhen, China. He obtained his PhD & MSEE from URI, Kingston, RI, USA and MBA & BSEE from University of Rochester, NY, USA. He headed the Division of Information Engineering at EEE, NTU, and served as Vice-Dean Research and COE Associate Dean Graduate Studies, He was founding Director for ROSE Lab and Director of NTU-Peking U Research Institute in NTU.
Prof Kot was an AE for over 10 journals and served the IEEE society in various capacities such as General Co-Chair for 2004 IEEE ICIP and Vice-President of IEEE SP Society. He was a Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE SP and IEEE CAS Societies. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore.
