Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Research Assistant to support the development of sensor-based systems for air quality monitoring in urban environments. The role involves designing, building, and deploying sensor networks, as well as conducting data collection, analysis, and contributing to technical reports and publications.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of air quality monitoring systems and sensors
• Develop and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) and embedded hardware/software solutions
• Deploy sensors in city environments and conduct field measurements
• Collect, manage, and analyze environmental data
• Prepare research documentation, technical reports, and contribute to publications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and participate in research meetings

Qualifications and skills:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Environmental, Computer, or related fields)
• Experience in PCB development and embedded system programming (e.g., Arduino, ESP32, STM32)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or R
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., LoRa, Wi-Fi, BLE) and cloud-based data systems is a plus
