4. Job Description:
- Conduct research, design, and development of power electronic converters (DC/DC, DC/AC, AC/DC, multilevel) for EV charging and microgrid applications.
- Integrate renewable energy sources (solar PV, wind) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into smart EV charging stations and microgrids.
- Develop and optimize Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) solutions for EV charging with high efficiency and safety.
- Investigate advanced control strategies, protection schemes, and intelligent communication for EV chargers and microgrid systems (smart charging, V2G/V2B, demand response).
- Build simulation models (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, etc.) and validate through prototype testing.
- Publish research in international journals (Q1/Q2, IEEE conferences) and contribute to national/international research proposals/projects.
5. Requirements:
- Research Assistant / Master level:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control & Automation, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
- Experience in power electronics circuits, converter/inverter design.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, or PLECS is an advantage.
- PhD level:
- Strong background in power electronics, control, and energy systems.
- Research experience with publications or R&D projects.
- Interest in EV charging, microgrids, and renewable integration topics.
- Postdoctoral level:
- Proven research track record with international publications (SCI/SCIE, IEEE).
- Ability to conduct independent research and mentor junior researchers.
- Hands-on experience with power converters, BESS, wireless charging, or microgrids is highly desirable.
6. Desired Skills
- Proficiency in at least one simulation tool (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, PSCAD).
- Programming experience (C/C++, Python, FPGA/MCU) for power converter control is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork spirit and academic ambition.
